Northern Flicker Letterpress Card
A letterpress printed card with an illustration of a Northern Flicker. Surprisingly often found on the ground searching for ants, these woodpeckers also like to to hammer their beaks into your chimney or metal roof vents to make as loud a noise as possible to defend their territory. In the west, they are usually red-shafted (like this one) but in the east the tail feathers are yellow.
Perfect notecards for bird lovers, woodpecker aficionados, and those who like spending time outdoors.
This is one of a series of backyard bird cards including the American Goldfinch, American Robin, Anna's Hummingbird, Black-capped Chickadee, California Quail, California Scrub Jay, Dark-eyed Junco, House Sparrow, Norther Cardinal, Northern Flicker, and Western Meadowlark.
