Custom letterpress notecards are a perfect way to send quick thank you notes or catch up with old friends, and they make thoughtful gifts for an engagement or wedding celebration, birthdays, and other special occasions.
This is a set of letterpress notecards personalized with your initials surrounded by an elegant border handset in metal type and printed one at a time on lovely thick card stock on a vintage printing press in a colour of your choice. The printing process transfers the ink to the paper by pressing the inked type into the paper surface leaving an impression that you can feel.
The images show a variety of options to give you an idea of how the cards will look. All available characters for the typeface and colour options for ink and envelopes are shown in the final images.
You choose...
1. Quantity (if you need a quantity other than those listed please send me a message and I’ll create a custom listing for you)
2. Initials to be printed (2 or 3 characters) and the layout you'd like - options for the layout are either all tall characters, 3 small characters set on a diagonal, or a small-tall-small configuration (in this case the tall middle letter is usually for your last name).
3. Ink colour (please note that the silver and gold ink options are metallic inks not foils, they have a sheen but are not super shiny)
4. Envelope colour
The typeface, Fifth Avenue Monograms, is an old style design from the early 1900s and she super skinny characters and the simple frame have a bit of an art deco feel.
Cards are printed specially for you after the order is placed and so it will be approximately 1-3 weeks before they ship. Smaller quantities usually ship on the quicker end of the spectrum since they take less time to print and I can often squeeze them into the schedule sooner. If you need them by a specific date contact me before ordering and I'll let you know if a faster turnaround is possible.
