A letterpress print of Smith Rock, a State Park in Central Oregon. An amazing destination for rock climbers, hikers, runners, and bird watchers, Smith Rock is made up of volcanic rock, mainly basalt and tuff, that has been cut by the Crooked River to form sheer cliffs that make for challenging climbs and also provide nesting spots for falcons and eagles. Drawn in the style of a wood engraving but printed from magnesium plates in three overlapping colours on a vintage printing press.
